Sittercity encourages sitters to always respond to messages from new parents, but sometimes it’s not the right fit.
When you get a response from your application
1. When you’re no longer interested in the job you applied for:
“Hi! Thank you for following up. Unfortunately, I’m no longer available for this opportunity. Best of luck on your search!”
2. When you’re not available for the requested date:
“Hi! Thank you for following up. Unfortunately, my availability has changed and I am no longer available for those days. Let me know if I could help for any future days.”
3. When the parent is too far away:
“Hi! Thank you for following up. Unfortunately, that city will be too far for me to get to. Best of luck on your search!”
When you get a new message from a parent
1. When you’re generally not interested:
“Hi! Thank you for reaching out, but I’m not interested at this time. Good luck on your search!”
2. When you think the message is from a scammer:
“I’m not interested”, and report the user to our team.
