How do I find Sittercity Adventures?
On a web browser, you can log in and scroll down to the Explore menu to view Adventures near you, and click ‘More Adventures’ to see all that are posted in your area.
On the iOS app, you can click the Explore button in the lower right-hand corner to find Adventures.
How do I book a sitter for an Adventure?
If you find a sitter you’d like to book for an Adventure, you can click ‘Contact’ to send a message to the sitter. Keep in mind that all booking happens off the site, so setting up a time and a place for the Adventure is determined between you and the sitter!
How do I pay the sitter I hire for an Adventure?
Similar to hiring a sitter for regular child care, on Sittercity all payments occur off the platform. Please read here for more information.
How are the rates calculated for an Adventure?
Just like the rates you see on babysitter and nanny profiles, sitters set their rates for each Adventure. The base rate for a Sittercity Adventure is taken from the minimum hourly rate listed on the Babysitter profile, with the addition of a surcharge. Note that the surcharge is applied once per child. Is there an extra cost for Adventures on Sittercity?
There is no additional charge to search or book a sitter for an Adventure through Sittercity. However, you do need to have a Premium membership to contact a sitter to book an Adventure. Sitters set their rates for each Adventure, and all payment occurs off the platform.
